Dear resident,
It is becoming increasingly apparent that the gangs of youths in and around the Marks Square area of Tarleton are causing anti social behaviour.
There are a large number of them, mostly school children causing an array of issues. Police are increasing their patrols in the area at key times and locations and we are working with the community to identify offenders and disperse these groups.
If you have any info regarding these groups then call 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0844 770 6997.
Thank you.
One local told QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall yesterday that officers should check that every teen bike riders is using bike lights 'before a bad accident happens'.

Once the child has been identified the parents should have to attend a police station at an appointed time and then warned. A repeat offence carries a £250 fine, further offence £500 and so on.

Good idea! That will add money to the Council's coffers to be spent on the local area.

Since when have fines paid to the police funded councils?

The Council don't get the money, the Government do.

It would probably be a good idea to carry out these patrols in unmarked cars, with Police Officers in plain clothing, after all, the little cherubs aren’t going to misbehave in full view of an obvious deterrent.
