Preparations are underway at Carr Lane Playing Fields for the 2017 European Tug Of War Championships starting tomorrow.

The 2017 European Outdoor Tug of War Championships and World Junior and Under 23 Tug of War Championships will be taking place at Carr Lane Playing Fields.

The full address of the competition ground is as follows:

Carr Lane Playing Field, Carr Lane, Southport, Merseyside, PR8 3EE.

The venue is accessible by public transport (bus) from Southport Railway Station and Southport Town Centre to Carr Lane, where buses stop outside the entrance to Carr Lane Playing Fields. These bus services are very frequent.

Please note that car parking will be restricted at the competition ground, so please can all spectators use public transport to get to the venue. Further details on public transport accessibility is available on the Fans Page.

If you require any special assistance at the ground, or require disabled parking, then please contact us in advance of the event so that we can assist you with any special requests.

For competitors staying in the official accommodation packages at Pontin's, a free shuttle bus service will operate between Pontin's and the competition ground on each day of competition every 30 minutes.

LED video screen showing close up footage and score boards
Team area, including team tents
