RESULT Lincoln City 2 Southport 0

Southport FC were beaten 2-0 by struggling Lincoln City on Tuesday night. Goals from Jean Francois Christophe and Richard Pacquette gave the home side all three points on a disappointing night for Sandgrounders.

Southport had a great chance early on when Karl Ledsham blasted the ball over from close range when he should have hit the target.

Lincoln took the lead minutes later when John Nutter’s cross was met a header from Christophe.

Sandgrounders tried to get back in to the game but they struggled to create any chances. Lincoln went close again when Sam Smith headed the ball over the Southport bar.

Pacquette made it 2-0 to Lincoln early on in the second-half when he fired the ball in from long range giving Tony McMillan no chance.

Sandgrounders tried to pull a goal back and they nearly got on the score sheet when Andy Parry hit the bar from outside the box.

Well said Dave,you were right all along.
Its been glaringly obvious that Southport have been in a false position and now find themselves dropping like a stone,mainly due to that tightwad Clapham not putting his hands in his pockets to give to Watson to strengthen the squad when in a great opportunity to make the play-offs.Southport have now missed the boat like they did all those years ago when Mark Wright asked Clapham for funds to supplement his team in January and will be lucky to stay up now!
Meanwhile,Fleetwood continue to bulldoze their way to the title and a place in the Football League as they have a chairman who cares about his team and their fans!

Go and support fleetwood then if you admire them so much. Fleetwood will buy their way into the football league and then when mr pillock takes them as far as they can go, he will get bored and move onto bigger and better things. FTFC will then pass us on their way back down to the NW counties leagues where they belong.

Well well well charles whats been happening here then while ive been constantly slaughterd for the last two days?! Charles you are a loser and a very selfish man!! I wish we had an owner like the fleetwood town owner who adores his club and puts his money where his mouth is, I was right what i said months ago i cannot see where southport will get there next victory from?! They are sinking rapidly like the titanic, there is no chance whatsoever that southport will make the playoffs! I wish we had a chairman like OTS he would invest millions into the club and get a proper manager and players in who give 100% week in week out unlike these headless chickens! Im ashamed to be a southport fan with the bad state of the club and its all down to clap-rat clapham!! Do the right thing for the clubs sake and say you are very very sorry to OTS for banning him for no reason at all, i will think alot more of you charles if you would do that for me! Id just like you all to know that mauveboy is out of hospital now, he has moved in with me and flynn for the time being im going to take good care of him! Ive promised the hospital that im not going to let him have any alcohol for the next couple of weeks, the only thing wrong is when we got home my dog flynn me and mauveboy had a large whisky each on his home coming! We had had our first argument within the first two hours of him coming home, mauveboy was askin me if he could have a little bit of sherbet but i said no im not going to be responsable , the next thing he said he was very sorry for asking for it then he broke down crying his eyes out. I asked him whats wrong, he told me he is heart-broken and upset and that he cant believe OTS still hasnt been re-instated!! He said to me he would give his his life for OTS to get re-instated!!!!!!!!!! Im going now me and flynn are going to have a j...... then were going to gets our heads down!!! You`ve clearly not thought this through.

Why would BFC come calling for the Fleetwood chairman when they`ve already got a Latvian multi-millionaire who has already redeveloped Bloomfield Road with much improved facilities,built a new hotel next to the ground and invested well in players which took them from being an average League One club into flirting with the big boys in the Premiership for a season.He`s clearly there for the long term.

well just popped Bloomfield rd and couldnt see a new hotel theres a travel lodge across the rd a temp stand that was built for the prem a half finished corner that will incorparate a new hotel and still the oystons in charge no news on latvian for about 8 months now

Segesta(Oystons)are indeed in charge yet its the Latvian who has been stumping up the dollar for redevelopment and strengthening of the team and still is.Not sure about your 8 months reference.
