What are the sheep going to use as an excuse this time?

The referee was dreadful, it was far too windy, we went down to 10 men, just face it the team have had their fair share of luck over the past few months and it's about to change from tonight. Don’t forget to turn up. Pay up and shut up.

    Clap trap clapham OUT

    OTS in

Ripped apart by pace skill and greater determination in first half but the port battled well with 10 men to shade the second half.
It is clear we have 11 very good players who can compete at this level but no strength in depth when key players go missing.
Two players now serving suspensions will leave the port vunerable, on the plus side new signing Parry is a big improvement on Watsons favourite Smith. Will Watson have the guts to keep Parry at right back next week?

Disappointing, but beaten fair and square. It obviously didnt help going down to 10 men but showed some spirit in the second half and battled well. We must take stock and realise that we are still 3rd.....if we had been offered this at the start of the season it goes without saying that we would have snapped their hand off. Only worry is that the small squad that Liam says has created a close tight knit set of players, has its downside with the lack of strength in depth. But we will fight on and still get behind them at every opportunity starting again against Alfreton then the big away trip to Wrexham on Tuesday. We need to make a quick start against Alfreton on Saturday and try to keep 10 men on the field! OTS out.....Yellows.

It might be better if we can keep 11 men on the field.

ooops ha ha - i must have momentarily forgot that we do actually start games with 11 men! I hope im not tempting fate by saying that we hope to keep 10 men on the field though!

It seems that Southport get at least one player sent off every game, surely this is down to bad anger management by the manager and his backroom staff.

It seems we have played 22 games and it seems that we have had 6 sent off!! hardly one every game is it? Its still not good though I must admit. Lets hope last night was a small hiccup in what has been a fine season so far and it makes it even better when DB cant get the usual rants in! OTS out!
