Emergency services were called to the Coastal Road this afternoon after a collision between vehicles. The accident was southbound between Weld Road and Pontins.

There did not appear to be any serious injuries.

Every time I'm on the coast road the cut-off upright stakes scare the s**t out of me.

No too bad for car drivers since they cut the horizontal top bar off,
but still lethal for any motorcyclist sliding down the road. A different bone broken for each one they hit.

The only good thing is that whenever cars hit them a few less remain standing.
