The emergency services were called to the Tarleton bypass this evening after a driver lost control of their vehicle close to the junction of Moss Hey Lane and ended up in the safety barrier.

    The road remains open.

More details from the police press office later hopefully.

Well I never all those cameras, all that money, all those fines and surprise surprise an
    accident.

Like many times on this site comments to the above abound, basically though CRAP driving.

Its amazing how many rtc's occur so close to speed cameras, probably stamped on the brakes in fear of getting a penalty notice (?)
Oh look and its right by West Lancashire's worst accident blackspot, again!! Close the junction Lancs CC and remove the cameras, how much longer will your stubborness continue and at what cost to the tax-payer? All for the sake of two minutes convenience for a handful of local residents...........!

There’s absolutely not a cat in hells chance of the cameras going. They are doing exactly what they were intended to......make money!!
