Sad times in Southport as a man has to rummage through a skip behind Sainsbury's in search of some food this morning.
Southport has a foodbank that has been in the news this week with MP Damien Moore saying...
“I'm proud of the work that Southport Foodbank is doing to combat poverty and hunger in our local community. I'm impressed with their diligence and effort to make a difference in the lives of those who need assistance."

Supermarkets waste a lot of food so retrieving that food might be a number of things, they would rather spend their money on drink, they like free food, a moral decision, or hungry.
