There's one thing we can agree on: it's never happened yet.
But will happen next time.
Really? And you know that how?
Next time there is only one ward where Labour could beat the Conservatives in Southport and that is Dukes Ward (being the only Conservative held seat in Southport up for election in 2018).
So how do you reckon the Labour Party are going to "BEAT THE TORIES IN SOUTHPORT" there? Maybe you think that Labour having an anti-EU Leader will help it mop up the UKIP vote.

My pointing out the idiocies in what you are saying isn't "diverting from the question".
If you don't want me doing that then simply stop saying stupid things.

Yes, what exactly has Liz Savage done for Skelmersdale where she has been paid to be a councillor for Ashurst Ward for the last 6 years.
When, just a day or so ago, I did a Google search I could find no press report at all for "Liz Savage Skelmersdale" or "Liz Savage Ashurst".
Why is that? What evidence is there of Liz Savage doing anything for Skelmersdale? Perhaps you can have a look too, Username2016.

Don't people have a right to know?

What is it about coming a humiliating third that you do not understand?
The only way Lib Dem supporters can have any influence in the next General Election is to tactically vote Labour. Or do you want a Tory MP in Southport?
ONLY LABOUR CAN DEFEAT THE TORIES IN SOUTHPORT

Enough for them to elect and re-elect her with a huge majority

You need to recheck those figures. In fact Labour came FOURTH with 10%, that's barely half the votes of the party which came third.
And yet you say that Labour are going to beat the Conservatives there in Dukes Ward in 2018.
How, exactly, do you see that happening?

That doesn't answer the question as to what Liz Savage has ever done for Skelmersdale.
Username2016 is particularly keen to know.

This is in addition to her own self employed position as a Slimming World Councillor. Damien Moore receives £5,473 allowances from Preston council plus £3719 basic - which is less than that of West Lancs to which Ms.Savage belongs to. As a point of interest - Sefton's basic councillor allowance is £8882. As I pointed out before - Damien Moore cannot resign from Preston council, no councillor can resign their post - he has to wait for the new elections to take place.
Ms. Savage volunteers her time in Southport. Great! But as was pointed out in the article, West Lancs loses out. Ms. Savage appeared in only three out of six West Lancs council meetings this year??
Ms. Savage purports to be doing all she can to protect the tourism trade in Southport - jolly good! But the Labour Council cannot find sufficient funds to use red tarmac at a cost of £860K for Lord Street because of the cuts from the much earlier Lib/Con Coalition. But they can find funds for the cost of Bootle Strand (£32.5 MILLION) a really notable tourist attraction - and they can find funding for the Cunard building where ten water taps cost £3.5 thousand each and where overall the cost of the plumbing cost £10 MILLION! So how many people have faith in what any Labour member says?
I think others have pointed out several faults with your comment here but I didn't notice if has been mentioned that 1) your comment that no councillor can resign is COMPLETELY incorrect ... have you never heard of by-elections?!! A simple google search under "councillor resigns" will bring up a slew of examples... well done on being consistently wrong though.
2) What on earth has her part time private job got to do with it? We are talking about publically paid roles? Again, though consistency on your part as you constantly bring in completely unrelated material to the debate.
Talking of which, what on earth has The Strand got to do with this? Nothing. You blather on, yet again.
3) You also show your ignorance again as Sefton has nowt to do with the Cunard Building, it's in Liverpool... you make that mistake a lot too... get it into your head, Liverpool is a separate entity to Sefton, it is not within its borough. LIVERPOOL... NOT... SEFTON, geddit?

Most amusing, but let's be honest, you as a Lib-Dem politician here and your Tory chums are much more worried about what she's doing in Southport, unpaid I might add
... that's why the attacks, and why this article is on a Southport forum... despite the fact it's a major shot in the foot by your chums considering Damien Moore's position.

Thanks, that's one Conservative councillor.
Who are the others? It's just that you said "As regards attendance at meetings, there are elected councillors in Southport who haven't attended a single meeting for the last 18 month". That's councillors (plural).

Polly Trott clearly stated she was talking about the general election, given you came third and Labour 2nd with less than 3K voters behind Tories... and the tactical vote will now swing to Labour, it would seem she has a strong argument in that regard... you no doubt will decry it... but quite simply, you are third... your support locally is crumbling, your party locally is crumbling... you have your finger in the dyke and your problem is that after 20 odd years of your shenanigans here, folks now know you are Littlefinger.

Yes indeed, her major achievement is that she's helped get a Conservative MP elected (but at least she seems pleased with the result).
By that I mean that locally, Labour campaign literature spent most of its time attacking the Lib Dems rather than the Conservatives who most people would have thought were their real opponents.
Result: victory for the Conservatives in Southport. But, Hey! If you're a Corbynista that counts as a great victory (even if they lost - which, of course, they did nationally).
