A well known Christian school in Hesketh Bank has closed.

Kingsfold Christian School described itself as an independent faith school in a quiet corner of Lancashire providing a happy, safe place for children aged from 4 to 16 to learn and grow.

In May, Head Steve Lamin told parents on its FB page: “I just wanted to let people know that Kingsfold Christian School is closing at the end of this term.

“This has been a difficult decision - taken in the light of a number of challenges we have been facing - but we feel we would be unable to maintain standards and provide the education we would want to.

“It has been a privilege to have worked in the school and to have been involved in the lives of so many people.

As an independent day school, it was attached to the Hesketh Bank Christian Centre, catering for boys and girls aged six to 16 years and very much the vision of one of the loaders of the Centre, local builder Peter Whiteside.

Registered in October 1987, it was on a two-acre site and the buildings provided accommodation for both educational and church activities.

The school was registered for up to 60 pupils, with around half that number on its closure.

Its latest OFSTED report noted: “The school aims are to provide a good education, teaching a range of academic subjects and life skills, underpinned by biblical teachings. It aims to encourage each member of the school community to make the best of their abilities, working in a partnership between children, staff and parents. The intrinsic philosophy of the school community is to help children value themselves and those who have different personalities, backgrounds and cultures, promoting a respect for and interest in diversity, and preparing them for life in a global society.

    This is great news :)
All faith schools should be closed. Why should our children be brainwashed any form of religious gobbledygook this day and age? Bonus too that it's a private school. A good education is every child's right. Not a privilege to be paid for by the wealthy few. Though according to recent press reports, ousted standards have dramatically fallen in the private education sector.

Most faith schools are oversubscribed as they have a far better track record that other schools and why do you feel that you can dictate to parents where they send their children? How would you feel if people tried to dictate what you were to believe and where you could go!

Can I see your evidence regarding faith schools track records please? And I'm not dictating to anyone. It's called having an opinion.

Nonsense... hardly a place of the 'wealthy few' and no our children were not brainwashed either!

Your username would perhaps contradict this?

I think that these students will thoroughly enjoy their holiday, and that is what I want to see. If they can contact the people at australian-writings.net website to get a job during their holidays, then that would be great for them.

I think this is a great chance for students to improve their knowledge. I can also help you with this. I have always loved studying, so after the university, I created my own educational website where I write essays on various topics. You can read an essay on gun control by visiting my site. I think you will find a lot of useful things there. If you have any questions, please write to me personally.

It is from the Satan! People have no rights to close houses of pray. It is forbidden. We only can build them and pray for our God. I wrote more here https://lawaspect.com/law-essays/ because people should know about their rights and what they should do.
