Excited pupils celebrated the Chinese New Year by exploring the cultures and traditions of the Far East.

The reception class at Marshside Primary School in Southport practiced using chop sticks and tried Chinese food at “Lings On Kings” restaurant on Wednesday (25th January 2012) as a reward for all their hard work on a Chinese New Year project at school.

Mrs Linda Scholes (teacher) said: “Chinese New Year seemed an ideal opportunity to use role play to extend children’s knowledge, skills and attitudes."
