New year - new campaign in the war on Sea Buckthorn on the #Sefton coast...
Phil Smith and his team will be out with the loppers again later this week.
"It’s time to wake from our winter hibernation and partake in a little buckthorn bashing. We still have a couple of areas to finish off, so I would like to have a session this coming Thursday 25th January, meeting at 1.30pm at the Sands Lake car park (opposite Pontins)", Phil explains.
"Our target will be slack 144 which is a long walk, so I have arranged with Coast and Countryside team for a vehicle to take us up the beach.
"Please note the earlier start time and we will finish at 3.15pm, as the vehicle is needed elsewhere. Sorry about the short notice".
Volunteers should bring loppers if you have them and thick gloves as usual.

Shame they cant wage war on the lawn that's growing on the mudflats formally the beach between Ainsdale and the sand factory. But then that would mean real work,
