Sefton Council are looking for people to share their views on a popular disability service that helps some of the most vulnerable in the borough.

The community equipment store, based in Aintree, provides vital social care aids, such as walking aids and trolleys, bath or shower aids and hoists, plus beds, ramps and furniture raisers, that assist thousands of people to live independently in their own home.

Last year alone the service delivered over 43,000 social care aids to homes across Sefton and in order to ensure it continues to meet the needs of users the Council has launched a consultation.

Anyone who has recently used the service is being particularly encouraged to give their views.

Cllr Cummins, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care explains: “While there is an increasing demand for community equipment, we need to make sure that the service is efficient and is meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people in the community.

“This is a great way to hear from the people that actually use the service so that we can listen to their suggestions for how it could work even better. Whether the experience was good or bad, we want to know so that we can continually improve.”

You can take part and share your views by completing the questionnaire online at www.engagespace.co.uk/sefton or requesting a paper copy via 0151 934 4900.
