Mourners attending funerals at Southport Crematorium must be disgusted the state of the flower beds at the entrance. Weeds have taken over and there appears to be little or no maintenance at all.
It seems that the Council cuts have now reached the final resting place of many of us.

Final resting place? It's a crematorium not a cemetery.

Many people leave the ashes of loved ones in the grounds of the Crem so it is the final resting place for some

True but whilst bodies are laid to rest I've never heard that term applied to ashes.

And don't we have some of the highest crem fees in the country, too? Once again, Sefton Council taking the proverbial.

I was there yesterday... and to be honest the grass was the LAST thing on my mind.
I never even noticed it!

Is it Sefton Council’s responsibility, or is it West Lancs?
Just wondering as the Crem is in Lancashire, not Merseyside.

It is Seftons Crematorium, West Lancs Council don't have one.

Thanks for that, I had half expected some sarcastic answers.
Shame there’s no option for a Tibetan style ‘Sky Burial’!

Sefton do own the crem but the overgrown flowerbeds appear to be outside the Crem boundary wall so maybe they are West Lancs responsibility.
Also West Lancs has a crem on the way to Burscough.
