We need to protest and do something because us the fans are letting him ruin our club by not standing up, it's like we're not bothered and don't care.

You say this year in year out but do nothing about it.

He's saying what everyone with half a brain is thinking, he's entitled to say what he likes without someone like you criticising him.
The root of this clubs problem is Charlie Clapham, it's time he left. The fans are dwinglng away fast, can you blame them, there is no ambition but avoiding relagation every season, well that looks like it's coming to an end, all I can see now is relagation and we will never come back up we are finished, this club s a laughing stock, it did have huge potential but now it has nothing, thanks Clapham you've ruined this club.

Presumably the ones with half a brain are waiting for someone with a full brain to "protest or do something" because none of those that regularly call for protests "or something" ever actually do anything.

There are probably no more than a handful of people who feel strongly enough to stage a protest, and even if one did take place then Clapham would be impervious to it. I have come across him on a number of occasions and he simply doesn't care what anybody thinks about his running of Southport Football Club. What motivates Charlie Clapham are the trappings of being a club Chairman, even on a small scale. The blazer; the tie; the title; sitting in the Directors' box home and away; invitations to the away club's boardroom; courtesy drinks & vol-au-vents; attending Chairmans' meetings.....all that stuff. He loves it. The height of his ambition for Southport Football Club amounts to keeping them in the National League and if and when that fails he'll pin the blame on other people. That's your Chairman in a nutshell.
