Southport FC manager Liam Watson says he is hoping to bring striker Vinny Mukendi back to the club.

    Vinny Mukendi

Mukendi was on loan at Haig Avenue earlier in the season and scored two goals but he was then recalled by Macclesfield Town.

Watson says he is looking to bring Mukendi back to the club before the match against Stockport next week. The Sandgrounders manager also wants to sign a midfielder before the loan deadline.

Watson said: “We are perhaps lacking a presence in attack at the moment. “We have spoken to Macclesfield about Vinny, and there is potential there for a deal. Hopefully it will all be tied up soon.”

Very useful and intuitive comment regarding the actual story.....

Mukendi does offer something completely different to what we currently have, fitted in well and worked hard.....and the fans took to him too. Id certainly be glad to see him back.

Mukendi was a decent player when i used to go watch him at haig avenue! If O.T.S wasnt banned from haig ave for no reason at all, southport fc would be in a much greater financial situation now, they would have much more money to spend on good quality players, but since the pathetic ban on O.T.S southport fc have not got a pot to p** in! All this is down to charles for banning O.T.S for no reason at all! Charles do the right thing for the clubs sake and re-instate O.T.S where he wrightly belongs and the gates will double again then southport will be able to buy some good players!! I will never step foot back into haig avenue until charles apolagises to O.T.S and re-instates him where he wrightly belongs!!!! O.T.S IN CLAPHAM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Double again!!! When did Southport regularly get between 2700 and 3000? Do you really think that over a thousand people stay away because of OTS ban! I don't think so either! Im glad you have sought help with your troubles and hope you are successful in conquering them.....
