A MAN has been banned from driving after failing to provide a sample of breath.
Edmund Joe Warren, 60, of Bobbiners Lane, Southport, admitted the offence, which took place in Barrow on October 13 last year, when he appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on May 18.
Warren was handed an eight week curfew between 7pm and 7am and banned from driving for 20 months.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and court costs of £300.

According to Royal Mail it is, why isn't Banks in Southport? I had relatives in Vicarage Lane and they always addressed as Banks, Southport.

It's a village outside of the town of Southport. It's not even in the same council area so how can it be part of the town?
As far as the Post Office is concerned you can write whatever you like when you address your post as long as it has the correct street name and postcode as that is all they use.

What is the source of this?
The Post office actually ask for
"Addressees' name
House number and street name
Locality name (if needed)
Town (please print in capitals)
Full postcode (please print in capitals)"
