Storm Hector (strong wind) hit Southport this morning. Large waves for Southport crashed onto the sea wall but no damage was caused.

Debris from the high tide will have to be removed from the sea wall by the Sefton Rangers.

Went down there at high tide, it was absolutely spectacular! There were high winds and the sea came right up and over the sea wall in places. The water level was just about a foot below the pier - the waves were coming in fast and furious, though the white horses were a dirty grey yellow it was still a fantastic sight!

Anyone brave enough to be fishing off the end of the pier?

some of those waves were at least "6" inches high!!!!
