Following criticism that there are no Police on patrol Merseyside Police have released a map of one officers route yesterday.
"Where were the police?"
One of our Southport Local Policing Team officers mapped his patrol route on the first half of yesterday's day shift. This is the route he took over 11.4kms of solo foot patrol from, and back to, Southport police station and around Kew ward.

One officer went for a walk. Are we supposed to be able to learn anything from this? How many others were on duty? Did the officer apprehend any miscreants? How many crimes were reported yesterday and how many were cleared up?
Enough with the PR.
