Is your business, schools, community groups or sporting associations raising awareness of heart health, basic life support and defibrillators in your local community? If so, your efforts could get you a prestigious CardiacSmart award.

CardiacSmart awards are awarded to those who are actively working in their community to increase survival rates of out of hospital cardiac arrests by installing defibrillators and training people in how to use them.

There are three levels of award; bronze, silver and gold which are presented by North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS).

A special life savers award is also presented to those who have saved the life of another person by attempting cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
