Large queues of traffic built up in Churchtown today as Cambridge Road was resurfaced again after the last works failed.
Thousands of pounds has been spent over the last few years in the area resurfacing the roads none of which appears to have worked.
Local diversions are in operation.

Wouldnt it have made more sense to have done this during half term when the school was closed

Why are not things done right in the first place. Not exactly the hardest winter thinking of those past

A taste of things to come if the building of all those 400+ houses goes ahead in the village. As others have said, its unbelievable that this road should need resurfacing so soon and incompetent that it wasn't done during half term. To think the people who make all these wonderful decisions are in the process of awarding themselves higher salaries than the prime minister!

Spraying a thin layer of chippings to disguise defects is no substitute for re-laying with proper tarmac - but it sure keeps the contractors busy!

Would it not have made even more sense for those complaining to ensure that the weather during the 20th to 22nd February could have been perfect for the contractors to do the job during half-term, as originally advised on signs beforehand. It was only there in black and yellow!
