A posh chippy's opening soon on Burscough's booming Ringtail Retail Park.

Fylde Fisheries of Southport will be unveiling its latest venture in the next few weeks, with a projected March opening date according to one company insider.

Workmen have been putting the finishing touches to the building before it's fitted out in the next fortnight; click here for more on what many say is one of Southport's best fish and chip bars:

Not a good move - they are already struggling with the new ones they have opened up in Southport. The Birkdale one in particular is bad. They are also always short of staff.

They risk loosing a lot if they expand too quickly without sorting out their existing problems !

I also agree! The food is well below standard. Harpers on Eastbank Street and The Swan are far better.

I agree too. I go to Fylde Fish bar every week. Went to Birkdale one once and unfortunately not good.

just go to the Hop Vine, fish and chips in there is awsome

One vote for The Fryery on Guilford Rd. Well worth a visit.

Any Chippy that wins so called "Awards" stay clear of, they are not worth the paper its written on. Plus they probably pay for the privilege anyway.
