The parole board have refused Mitchell Quy parole after serving 17 years.

Mitchell Quy murdered wife Lynsey Wilson at their Southport home in December 1998 and then got his brother to help him hack the corpse into several pieces and dispose of the parts in different locations. The head and hands were never found.

After spending 18 months lying about his role, he finally admitted murdering her in 2000 and was jailed for 17 years.

Lynsey, who had two children, was missing for 18 months before police discovered her torso near a roller-coaster in Southport. Her arms and legs were found a day later dumped in bushes next to a railway line

A petition was started to keep Quy in Jail and it received over 7000 signatures.

My understanding is that he is eligible to have another parole hearing in 12 months time. That's nowhere near enough. This cowardly b****** should be locked up indefinitely.

What happened to Quy's brother ?

The murder was bad but what followed took two very sick minds to carry out.

Elliott Quy was released from prison in 2005. (He was sentenced to 7 years, but only served 4).
