Officers in Sefton have arrested three men from Netherton as part of Merseyside Police’s ongoing initiative to tackle gangs, drugs and guns.


​The men were detained earlier today, Monday, 19 June. One man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and the other two on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
A woman, also from Netherton, attended a police station voluntarily and was cautioned for possession of controlled drugs.

Inspector Andrew Bragg, from the local policing team, said: "Illegal drugs blight our community and we will continue to do everything we can to disrupt the supply.

"However, we can’t do this alone - we need the support of local people. I would urge people to continue coming forward to the police with information so we can keep our streets safe and bring offenders to justice.

"The supply and possession of drugs is often associated with other serious crime and we will not just sit by and allow this to happen.
