  6. Tarleton Bank Bridge closed tonight July 9

    They are resurfacing the bridge just after the traffic lights at Tarleton from 10pm July 9 till 6am July 10th. The bridge will be closed and diversions via rufford, Croston. Certainly needs a resurface and it has already been scraped ready for action

  7. Pier Tram Suspended

    Southport Per Tram was yesterday suspended from running after vertical cracks were found in some of the support columns. The 18 tonne tram has been running since 2005. The Pier is still open to the public while safety investigations are carried out. Now on main news section.

  9. Liverpool Road resurfacing

    Sections of Liverpool Road from Birkdale Village up towards Ainsdale Village have been re-surfaced. There are loose chippings (dangerous for cyclists) and white clouds of dust as traffic passes over (have to wash your car) and ...a 20mph speed limit!

    A Minkie Whale washed up on Crosby beach the other day. It was washed out to sea with the next high tide but is thought to drift ashore again some time soon. The Liverpool Port Police and the coastguard will organise the removal of the body for research purposes. (taken from the Echo)
