    A year by year account of events in the records. There is a lot of trivial detail to wade through, but some interesting snippets about events you have probably never heard of, such as:- the time all the gas leaked out of the gasholder at the Eastbank St gasworks and the town was consequently without lights for several nights; or the borough treasurer who stole thousands of pounds from the petty cash.......
