Just come across this again. The girl friend was Doreen Halsall, who later became my wife, but who sadly passed away on Christmas Eve, 2009.

Leslie Beard's Mum, Pauline, sadly passed away a few weeks ago; Geoff has been living in a nursing home for some time.

I and others always referred to it as Four Lane Ends when younger, but it's a long time now since I've heard the term used...

I remember Agnes well. Remember she and my mum (I'm Eva's son) often spent time together. Give her my regards. I'm sure I remember you too, but after so many years abroad names are not my strong point. Regards from Derek
PS Eva was a lovely lady and had a lovely home That makes me feel proud.

You must have lived at number 52 after 1978 , when my wife's family left there, after being there since before WWII.
My father in law built the rockery in the back garden, and the bridge.
