    Talbot Street Day Nursery 1956

    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can remember the nursery that was in Talbot Street in the 1950s. I think it closed in the late 60s but not really sure. Anyway if anyone attended it back then and has a photo around that time i would appreciate a copy. I live abroad now and have lost my past photos, which are nice to look back on. I was in one of the yearly photos taken and am hoping someone out there might have a copy. I know at the time it was taken by the Southport Visitor and my Mother had bought the original copy. Thanks in advance for any information. I was born in 1952 so im guessing the photo i am in must be around 1956/57

    Hi Millie,

I was born in 1952 so i wouldnt be in your photo, but i would like to see it if you want to upload it here, if not i can send you my email address. I can remember the matron having glasses and a stern face but cant remember her name. The others wore those old fashioned nursing head scarves. But i do remember one nurse called Nurse Fodderingham, or something like that. Thanks for replying
