Thanks Sarge. I only found the link whilst trying to establish if there was any connection between the Hobart and Southport Wooseys. And whilst there are a few of them around Hobart I cannot find any obvious relationship.

In the 1960's some neighbours of ours in Salisbury street emigrated to Oz, they were Margaret, Frank and Michael Woosey. They settled in Adelaide though. (Up until a couple of years ago I always got correspondence from Margaret, she had been friendly with my Mum, she will be very elderly now, prob in her 90's).
I thought I had forgotton how to make lumpy gravy.

That's interesting Sue. Now we have Wooseys in Southport, Adelaide and Hobart. Who knows, they may all be distantly related.

Under the circumstances, maybe the title of this thread should be changed to 'Surviving Businesses of Southport'.
