Welcome to Bill Rimmer's Farm Shop!

We are back!

After re-furbishment and alteration, the Rimmer family have now re-opened their Farm Shop.

The shop is bright and welcoming and has a newly resurfaced car park.

The family aim is to provide local food for local people, with an emphasis on home grown and locally produced quality vegetables and fruit.

For 60 years Bill Rimmer and his late wife Margaret grew salad crops for retail and wholesale use travelling daily to Liverpool Market to sell their produce. Bill is now retired and has handed over the reins to his nephew Michael who together with his brother in law, grows and harvests the vegetables both at Longacres Farm where the shop is situated and at his own farm on Heathey Lane.

  

The shop is run by Michael's wife Doreen and sister Pauline, who are helped at weekends and holiday times by his children Natalie and John. It stocks a wide variety of home grown and locally produced vegetables, fruit, free range eggs, duck and goose eggs, when available, haylage, pony carrots and speciality jams and chutneys.

You will also find here plants, flowers and home made cakes at the weekend! Help and advice is freely available as are copies of the many recipes on display! We are happy to sell you one egg or a dozen.

Call in and give us a try! You will be sure of a warm welcome and good old fashioned service with a smile. Field to shop in 15 minutes! The shop is situated at Longacres Farm, on Benthams Way in Southport (opposite Dobbies Garden World), and is open 7 days a week.
