Prolific convenience store burglar sentenced to 58 months in prison.
Merseyside Police are pleased to inform the public that a 26 year-old man from the Liverpool area was charged with two cases of robbery and one case of theft.
Barney Page, of no fixed address was sentenced to a total of 58 months for all three incidents.
Both robberies were reported on the 23 October 2017 at two different convenience stores. The first took place at around 6.30pm and the second at around 11pm. On both occasions, Barney Page has entered the store, threatened the staff and stolen 2 bottles of alcohol.
The following day (24 October 2017) at around midday, Page was also involved in a theft from a store in Bootle. Page is reported to have entered the shop where he tried to steal 3 coats. Luckily he was detained and arrested at the scene.
DC Hannah Marren said: “I’m very pleased with the result for this case. I hope this reassures the public that we’ll continue to bring people like Page to justice and stop prolific criminals in their tracks.
“Page has shown complete disregard for public safety on all three occasions, putting staff and shop goers at risk due to his actions. I hope this sentence gives him time to reflect on his actions and hopefully will deter him and others from committing these crimes again.”
