I am part of a group of members at the North West Museum of Transport based in St. Helens.

We are at present restoring this 1934 open top bus which was owned an operated by Southport Corporation Transport until disposal in 1964.

Has anyone on here got any information such as photos or any literature etc. of this bus in service, or even any memories of the road and engineering staff who used to work on this bus when it was in service?

If anyone wishes to see this bus, it is on display at the above museum which is open on Saturdays and Sundays and bank Holidays from 12-4pm

We also have on display and currently on the road Southport 87 an open top PD2 of 1947 vintage and also a Southport Wartime Utility Duple bodied Daimler CWA6 of 1945 vintage which is also undergoing restoration.

According to records the Daimler was purchased after disposal by Blundells Coaches of Cemetery Rd. and then when they disposed of it some records show it went to Aintree Racecourse as a Stewards bus and then the trail seems a bit sketchy to say the least until the museum acquired it about 30
years ago, any more information on this bus and 'Titania' (as the Titan is affectionately known) would be appreciated.
