FASHIONABLE LADIES HOST CHARITY FASHION SHOW

A group of fashionable Wallasey ladies has organised a charity fashion show to raise vital funds for research into the causes of cancer.

The event on 22nd May will be hosted by the Wallasey branch of North West Cancer Research Fund (NWCRF) in conjunction with local retailer Peggy Perkins. Outfits in a range of bright colours and styles will be modeled down the catwalk at the United Reformed Church Hall in the village.

All money raised during the evening will go to NWCRF which funds vital research across North Wales and North West of England into the causes of cancer and how it spreads. Alongside being one of the oldest independent charities in the North West, NWCRF is also one of the most cost effective charities, with almost 90p from every £1 going directly into research.

Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy refreshments and a raffle at the event. Tickets are priced at £6 and can be bought on the evening at the door.

Committee Chair and Secretary Pat Sefton said: "We are really looking forward to this social event. It'll be a great evening for everyone to catch up. We expect the event to raise a lot of money for the charity and also raise awareness for the projects which it funds "

Peggy Perkins is located 140 Poulton Road, Wallasey CH44 9DL. The store can be contacted on 0151 638 5544.
