The latest exhibition has been unveiled at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre by the Maghull and Lydiate Art Group.

The art group has been in existence since 1970 and is an integrated member of the community with monthly meetings, professional painting demonstrations and weekly painting self-help workshops at Lydiate Village Centre on Lambshear Lane. The exhibition is a beautiful and colourful mixture of portrait, wildlife and nature paintings and showcases the best of the work of the Maghull and Lydiate Art Group.

The exhibition can be viewed at Martin Mere until Tuesday 18 April and will be located in the exhibition hall and all art work will be available to purchase with a percentage going towards the valuable work that Martin Mere does.

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 4.30pm during winter months and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6. The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations.
