    antique road trip show

    12th April 2014

The popular BBC TV show Antiques Road Trip were filming in Southport this morning.

    Philip Serrell and James Braxton

Interesting that the dealers in Market Street banned the Antique Road Trip from visiting this time around because of the way the show was edited the last time the show visited Southport.

It was a disgrace the way they made the father of one of the dealers look in the filming.

" I am only a greengrocer" the father said to explain to Charles Hanson the celebrity auctioneer doing the buying that day. This was to explain his lack of knowledge . The father had just called into the shop to enable his son take the grandchild to play football.

When the show was shown on BBC TV the impression was given that the father was a fool and every thing in the shop was £1000.

    saw that john.

I think its best not to take yourself too seriously if you invite a tv crew into your shop though, they always have an angle . they don't care if you look foolish as long as it makes good tv..

not half as despicable as that 'undateables' show...now that show makes me angry

on the plus side no-one could ever look as foolish as hanson and Braxton..lol

but I suppose they get paid for it
