Following a spectacular season, plans are now in place for a victory parade on Sunday 2 June should Liverpool Football Club win the Champions League – and Merseyrail will take you right to the action.
Due to the amount of planning involved, this parade needs to be organised in advance and transport arrangements put in place for fans to celebrate with the club, with Merseyrail services being a quick and easy way of getting straight to the action.
    Saturday 1 June
On the day of the final, a normal timetable will run with frequent services throughout the day.
Merseyrail trains are expected to be busy. Wirral line passengers travelling into the city centre should use Liverpool Central, and Northern line passengers should use Moorfields station.
For anyone wishing to enjoy the outdoor screening of the final at Aintree Racecourse, regular services will be running on Saturday 1 June. The last trains depart Aintree for Liverpool city centre at 22:54, 23:24 and 23:54.
Passengers are advised to check connecting train times before they travel on the last services.
Sunday 2 June (if Liverpool are successful)
Due to the size of the crowds expected, an amended timetable will be in place and the following stations will be closed:

    • Lime Street Lower Level
    • James Street
    • Green Lane
    • Bromborough Rake
    • Capenhurst

Passengers are advised to plan their journey in advance by visiting the Merseyrail website for timetable information.
For passengers travelling in to Liverpool city centre, Northern line trains will call at Moorfields only and Wirral line trains will call at Liverpool Central only.
Six-car trains will run to strengthen services wherever possible.

Sunday 2 June (if Liverpool are unsuccessful)
As it is not possible to change the timetable at such short notice, these changes will still apply if Liverpool FC do not win the Champions League and no parade takes place. However Northern and Wirral line services will call at both Liverpool Central and Moorfields stations in the city centre.

Passengers should plan their journey in advance and leave plenty of time. Tickets can be purchased from any Merseyrail station before travelling.
While passengers are encouraged to enjoy the match and potential celebrations as much as possible, Merseyrail operates a TravelSafe policy and passengers are advised that if anyone is deemed unfit to travel due to excessive alcohol consumption, they may be refused access to the Merseyrail network.
