2 Matching Tureens
Hello John
I have these two tureens and wondered what you thought about them in terms of their worth. They have been in the family a long time and have never been used by myself, they have been stored for ages, don't know exactly where they were from, do you?
One has more worn handles than the other and they have
1846 PALISSY, England on the bottom
Thanks for your opinion

not quite full blown art deco , and not quite 1950's post modern design
i would say 1940's , maybe late 1930's
the 1846 is possibly a pattern number or such like and not a date.
palissy were bought out by royal worcester in 1947 so this is pre that date.
i find these hard to sell unless very old or scarce , but i would say they generally sell for about £15 each.
(please wait for johns response aswell)

Briana .....I think these tureens are a little earlier.
reason "ENGLAND" and not "made in England".
The colors look art deco colours C 1920
but the shape is more Edwardian..... I would put them Circa pre WW1 1910 -1915
I would have to agree with you Briana £15 each
