Arrow Painting & Jug need help identifying please

Found the painting at my local tip, and whilst I was there I just saw somebody taking two bits of old furniture with wheeled feet, asked how much they were and said just sold Gutted..

Anyway thought this painting looked o.k and would like help identifying age, a bit about it and maybe a possible value, the painting looks like it could be possibly Spanish, and not sure about the jug.

    Thanks in advance.

The Wood family are famous in the Potteries (Stoke on Trent ect)

made their name in the antique world for ugly Toby Jugs.

    Arthur Wood

Many members of the family making their wares down the centuries. The last one Woods went under in 2008/2009.

On a car boot sale £2 to £5

The painting to me looks like a print on possible a canvas backing. Or been hand tinted to make it look an oil painting.

Worthless... may get a fiver in the early morning dark at a car boot sale.

The Frame is worth more looks European. C 1900

good luck ... keep me informed

To bad the frame has a little bit of wood worm

Can you get rid of worm and it is only in the bottom corner, how much do you recon the frame is worth?

    Thanks,

is the worm still there? there is a test you can use to find out roughly, tap the affected area and look for dust coming out of the holes , because wood worm eats the wood leaving dust inside the holes like a drill would leave....if there is no dust it can be a sign the worm is dead or gone,,,,if so you can fill the holes with candle wax and use a wood stain to bring it back,,,always state what restoration you have done when selling the item because decieving people only leads to getting a bad reputation from dis satisfied customers....

john please let me know if that idea is wrong as most of my info has come from hardened dealers..

Thank you Vanny, and Braina for your input on the matter.. I really appreciate all help given.

I have given it a tap and unfortunately dust is still coming out

Could you possibily give me a sort of value of how much the frame could be worth?

Cuprinol.. Brand Name kills wood worm. dead

Brush it in...It does what it says on the can

Using candle wax to fill holes. No it is hard for the stain to cover the greasy service.. Best use a dark brown wax to fill in the holes. Shoe polish comes to mind

Frame you may get £10 to £20 if some one has a picture the same size.

    Plated tea pot.

the marks look like hall marks but are not.

If you are lucky £15 to £20 if no dints.

If you had the sugar and the cream (set of 3) or even the hot water jug ( set of 4)

you would be talking £75 to £125

your model is not the greatest shape. Better having the Georgian shape than a Victorian shape.

The Aladdin's lamp shape sells well

Black ebony handle with a nice ivory band in a Sheffield plate (copper sandwiched between 2 pieces of 925 silver) 4 piece tea set on an important tray with ball and claw feet.
£975. This is the top end, what you have is the other end.
