Sadly the Council has had to cancel spring and early summer parks and countryside events to comply with government social distancing advice.
The programme included walks, volunteer days and events such as the annual Medieval Weekend in Coronation Park in May, as well as activities in local parks planned by other organisations.
The parade and family event planned for 10 May to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day has been postponed.
We will review our calendar of events again at the end of June, but the annual Green Fayre which was in our diary for 25 and 26 July will not be able to take place as there would not be enough planning time to organise such a big occasion.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, portfolio holder for Leisure, said: "We are really sorry these events can't take place now as we know how popular they are but our key priority is to help keep everyone safe and well."
