Fancy taking on one of the North West’s most popular running events? The British Red Cross is on the lookout for proud Scousers to hit the road and take on this year’s Mersey Tunnel Run 2022. The much-loved running event provides the only chance to cross through the Mersey tunnel on foot and admire Liverpool’s iconic skyline from across the water. With cheer points along the way, it is sure to be a race like no other.

Taking place on Sunday 11th September, the race is open to runners of all levels.

Becky Lynes, Senior Community Fundraiser for the area says, “The Liverpool Tunnel 10K is always a great event. It brings together people from across the city and is a real celebration of Scouse spirit.

"The British Red Cross has a long history of supporting people right here in Merseyside, whether it is providing support at home after a hospital stay, responding to a local house fire or flood, or supporting refugees in the local area. We are so proud of our local services and would love to see the Red Cross represented out there on the streets of Liverpool on this special day for the city.”

Registration is just £14.

All participants are challenged to raise £250 and will receive their special Red Cross running vest once they hit £100 of their target. Special discounts are available for teams of 3 or more. Runners will be supported every step along with the way, with expert fundraising advice in the run up and an unmissable cheer squad who will be there to support them on the day itself.
