Using their twitter handle of @MerPolTraffic Merseyside Road Policing Unit give regular updates of incidents.
Some of their recent updates:
Driver of this vehicle decided to run off after colliding with railing and a stationary car in Halewood. The beer cans in the car would probably be a clue why.
Driver of this vehicle was caught at 53mph in a 30mph limit of Scotland Road. Probably to do with the fact he was over the prescribed limit for alcohol. Arrested.
This German bike was stolen during the TT from a visitor to our City. Not a great memory for them to have. Seen in Anfield being used on a car park. On seeing police they dumped the bike and ran off. Unfortunately for them they were too slow for our #PCT colleagues. 3 arrested.
Can't park your car like that on M57. Probably why the person who did it ran off! We have a theory why. They can expect a knock soon.
This vehicle was stolen yesterday and found parked up in the L4 area. The offenders had cheekily put a steering lock on the steering wheel. Don’t want the stolen car getting stolen, vehicle recovered for CSI
This vehicle was sighted in the Speke area and on being stopped, the nervous driver provided false details. Turns out they had no licence or insurance and also tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. Vehicle seized, driver arrested
Rider of this scrambler has been involved in serious crime. Unfortunately for him physics beat his riding skills during a pursuit and he crashed. He was detained following a foot chase and arrested for a number of offences.
This vehicle was recorded travelling at an average of 76mph along the East Lancashire Road which has a posted speed limit of 60. Considering a marked Police vehicle was behind, it also shows a real lack of awareness and concentration. Driver reported
This vehicle was sighted being driven in a poor condition with a smashed windscreen and bald tyre to name a couple of defects. The condition of the driver was no better as they tested positive for both cannabis and cocaine and were arrested
Vehicle has left the carriageway M62 westbound and struck a tree. Driver will be ok but has suffered some injuries and also tested positive for cannabis
Very noticable is the number of drivers testing positive for drugs in the above reports.

The message just doesn’t seem to be getting through to these numb skulls.
Anyone caught driving impaired through drink/drug use, and even those using a mobile phone should be given a mandatory lifetime ban.

Anyone who says our roads are so safe to cycle on, that we don't need protected bike infra - should take a long hard look at the above items. With the likes of such drunken/drugged-up motorists about, it's a scary enough environment for an adult in a car, let alone for a youngster on a bike!

Yes, but it goes further down the pecking order so that pedestrians need protection from reckless cyclists. It's a 'scary environment' walking around a blind corner and not knowing if a cyclist is speeding down the pavement that you can't see. Most of them just don't give a monkey's.

Agree.....even I have to ride on a pavement sometimes, not that I want to. Yet when I lived in NL, because there was safe bike tarmac alongside every busy road - I never had to.
Meanwhile here in Sefton, nobody moans when £20,000,000+ is spent on a couple of miles of brand new road for cars, e.g. Brooms Cross Rd (Switch Island to Crosby). Whereas a couple of miles of white paint and plastic poles for safe cycling infra, has hundreds up in arms - duh!

I’m guessing this hardly ever happens in reality. If It does, you should be supporting the introduction of safe cycling infra.
