BTP officers investigating a sexual assault on board a Hunts Cross to Southport train are today releasing CCTV images.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Thursday 11 April.
The victim boarded the train at Seaforth and fell asleep. While asleep a man sat opposite her and inappropriately touched her.
He threatened a train guard after being challenged then left the train at Freshfield station.
Officers believe the man in the images may have information that could help their investigation.
Anyone who knows him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference 687 of 11/04/19.
