UC will definitely be halted, then adjusted or scrapped, currently UC has achieved what should be impossible, taking funds from claimants, yet costing more to operate than previous systems.

Railways will be easily renationalised, simply don't renew the contracts as they expire, nil cost.

Take electricity generation and distribution back into public ownership, let the providers drive each other into bankruptcy then take them back into public ownership with little or no cost.

I would also expect essential services to be taken back in house and the privateers kicked out of publicly funded property.

That would be a good start, going further would currently need funding which we don't have at the moment.

Just as well Labour won’t be getting back in then.

OK, what is wrong with any of my thoughts, or do you enjoy being ripped off to provide the over paid fat cat execs with their grossly inflated salaries, please don't play the politics of envy, or paying top money for top people, it doesn't take that much special ability to run a business when gifted a customer base and a monopoly position.

All essential services are currently funded by either/or, the taxpayer/customer/consumer or a combination, that will not change, the costs remain the same, the only difference is, were a profit is generated that profit goes to the Exchequer instead of into privateer pockets.

Privatising essential services does not suddenly make that service free or even cheaper, in fact on current performance ALL costs to the public have risen way above inflation, or the service has been reduced.

Take any privatised service you wish, every one has either failed, is behind on service standards, or has dramatically increased in cost to the general public.

For instance every water board in the country is behind on service and maintenance, but do you have any choice whatsoever in who or what you pay for?

The railways still receive hand outs from the government, yet fares are totally OTT, with service down.

Electricity, in 2004 we were a net exporter of electrical energy, we now import 25% of our energy, why? possibly because the private power companies are happy to take over the running of existing power stations for a profit, not so good at replacing old and inefficient plant, in fact new power stations will still have to be built using taxpayers money, so much for privatisation.

Not one bit surprised by the move or the timing, frankly just what we have come to expect, yet people still vote for Tories, it is said that the older generation have concerns about Corbyn, I'm afraid they need to redirect their concerns.

Absolutely deplorable. People have earned their pensions though a lifetime of paying into the system. Rob the poor, but keep the rich nice and comfortable - typical Tory policy. But even for them, robbing pensioners is a new low. Although hardly surprising from a government that has committed the state-sanctioned murder of over 100,000 people in the name of completely unnecessary 'austerity' cuts.

I care little for whichever privileged multi-millionaire will follow May. There are no one-nation politicians among them. Even if there was, they'd never get to the front bench. Nor are there any that consider pensioners before corporate donations. They say that people get more right wing the older they get. Like turkeys voting for Christmas.
