    Arrow Boot Fair Madness.

    Hello,

I spent around £15, on what I believe will probably be mostly / all tat, although there may be 1 thing or so off some value but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

In my next post I will lis pictures of what I brought, and if there is anything of any interest please would somebody be kind enough to give me some information about it?

    Thanks guys in advanced.

man you dont hold back do you!!!

please dont think i am being a smart *** but try and be abit more selective, go for what you know, because your hose will be full to the brim with tat after 6 months, trust me i know,,,i have done it....

do you have anything of irish interest, i.e books, posters , documents or anything to do with ireland ,,,i.e the irish troubles of the 70's or even further back,,,this is what i am really interested in..

Well TBH the thing is easy come easy go...

The things which are tat, I can just try and sell at a next boot fair and if signed prints are £1 - £2, and ceramic 10p each, I can afford to get away with it.

I understand about being more selective, but if I see something, and I like it and it is cheap as chips if it holds no commercial value it can still be re used / re sold...

I have to agree with you though, on the fact my house now looks like a mime field. !!!!!!!!! Oh well, that's the price you pay to have tat in your house...

    briana is right.

But as you say experimenting with £1 items. all you can loose is a £1.

TIME IS THE MOST VALUABLE THING.

don't for get to add at least £20 per hour for your time from the minute you leave your house to the minute you get back.

Now that is your time taken care of.....
You still want to make a profit on the items you buy

    good luck

You can't put a value of my time so I never fact that in when going to boot fairs, as I do it for the experience and adventure more than anything...

Everything takes time, I would rather go to boot fairs for fun than work TBH...

Easy come easy go, £1, you are basically guarenteed to bung it on the bay and make your money back so fuel and time, is only problemo, but hey you may go to a boot fair and find a corker worth £300 (Briana)...

    Anyway thanks for replying John.

    ebay

remember advanced, when selling on ebay...work out your postage properly, because if your selling a heavier item for £2 for instance and you miscalculate your postage you could be out money....

also ebay charge a fee for listing and then another fee for selling and if you choose to use the online bank paypal ,,they charge for the service also,,,,,all this needs to be added on to your price so this means an item you bought at a car boot sale for a pound and you want to get your money back on you would need to start the auction at £3-£4 ...

Lol mate, cheers but I have used Ebay before...

Anyway... it is free listing at the moment and I have started the price at £0.99 + £6.50 p&p so if I get a bid I may make like a £1 on postage or something and into profit or it may rise to something like £20, for example, so unpredictable on Ebay...

Posters .... not advisable to disclose your eBay identification name.

    Just a bit of advice.

Their is a reason..But I do not intend to enlarge on the subject.
