John Nolan The Antiquesman attracts another TV show to Southport

Southport, yet again on TV. Christina Trevanion from BBC 2 ‘Antiques Road Trip' cannot wait for Wednesday 26th April 2017 when she drives into Southport to visit The Antiquesman shop in Portland Street. John Nolan the proprietor has attracted The Antique Road Show to Southport yet again. 19th time the TV cameras have turned up at his shop. BBC say it is the most televised Antique shop in Britain. Christina's good looks and charm are second to her antique knowledge and skill-full technique of buying . She will give Nolan a hard time even though he has 52 years under his belt in the antique trade both here and in the United States. In the past Jonathan Pratt, Charles Hanson, Philip Serrell and Christina have all been regular visitors to Nolan's shop including a long list of celebrities who all sign his Black Book. Qlocal readers will be familiar with John Nolan's famous Black Book which is now on it's 3rd book.

What a week for ANTIQUES lovers and what a week for advertising SOUTHPORT

3 shows in a week promoting OUR TOWN, SOUTHPORT.

Antique Road Show was drawn back to Southport yet again for the 10th time

James Braxton and Christina Trevanion visited Southport in a 1965 3.4s Jaguar to hope fill it up with antique bargains.

Pictured here is Brett Griffiths with James Braxton. Brett is the one with the beard and is considered in the antique trade here and abroad as a fair and honest man. You will also see and advert for West Lancs Antiques out of Burscough which has been in the his family for over 3 generations.

also Antique Road Show visited John Nolan's Antique shop in Portland Street Southport. Only on generation but entering 53 years in business.

On Wednesday and Thursday Two other programs "PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS WAS shown on BBC1 This time Paul Hayes visited The Antiquesman to sell him a 19th century Doulton Commemorative Jug and a vessel from an early Mosque
