76-year-old Peter Kerevan went missing on July 29 but his family have now said that a body found in on Tuesday night near Kirkby Golf Course is believed to be him.



It is with a heavy heart that we write this update:

We have asked for all of your help over the past few weeks to help find Peter. We now believe we have found Peter however unfortunately it is not the happy ending we had hoped for.

The family have been informed that the body found near Kirkby golf course matches the description and clothing of Peter and the police believe it is him.


DNA testing may take a a few days for Peter to be formally identified.
As you can imagine our hearts are broken and we know all of your hearts will be broken too.
We cannot express our thanks to each and every person that has helped us during this time. You’ve gone above and beyond what we ever could of imagined when we asked for help and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We will of course update you when more information comes in.
