    Silver Whippets

    Hi John,
I am querying from New Zealand. We have two small ( approx 1 inch high) silver models of Whippet dogs.My wife inherited them from her Grandmother in the U.K.
They have a faded hallmark on them.
Can you tell me something about these items and if they are worth anything.

Hi syd............The hall mark is most important.
It tells us if it is real silver.
It tells us the country of origin
It could tell us the city
    The Date (circa)
    and the maker.
In telling us the maker it also can tell us the quality.

with out a photo.........It is hard to give advice.

If it was in my shop window.................
    I suppose you would say......
"How much is that dogie in the window."

Not sure about that. They probably are vaccinated as most things from Europe into this part of the world are quarantined for quite some time. They certainly go easy on the tucker.
