    john, just looking for an update on the religious picture? would you like me to instruct parcel force to pick it up i could have them there by friday..

    by the way i am taking your advice about this being the buying season,,,i am buying items to store, slowly but surely with a view of holding them untill april next year then opening an antique shop,,,,

    i will be ready this time with better stock,,transportation, and a knowledge how to survive in the industry,i.e house clearances and auctions houses..ect..

    Yes you can have it picked up.

    I have shown it to quite a few dealers all have different opinions.

    all say it is circa 1900 but few will commit to the whole of the painting being painted in oil. Most have the opinion of a printed form first then painted over. Made for a mass production market. 1890-1900 there was a boom in church building. All say poor quality. All also say the high price you ask the better chance you can sell it or get of an offer.

    Keep a strait face, Ask £500 , short pause and say well bid me.................
    after the bidding price has been offered....say £100

    LONGER PAUSE

    and then snatch the mans hand off....

    Briana, your choices for the medium that your religious painting is done in--if it's old as you think, it won't be acrylic, surely?

    Thanks for your input, good point.
    No one doubts that the painting is old, it is done in oils, but it might have been painted over an oily graph type picture or been re canvassed.
