49.why not start collecting...something...this is also a bit of a quiz
THIS IS ALSO A BIT OF A QUIZ.
People always ask me what I collect.
The question is... What do you collect?
If you do not collect anything, then now is the time to start.
I have met loads of people who collect nothing, they throw out everything: Christmas cards, post cards, furniture as soon as it goes out of fashion and toys etc.
If every one had done this the antiques trade would be none existent.
Thank God for the hoarders and the people who pass things down from generation to generation.
People say I know nothing about antiques, also my interests are so varied, collecting one type of item on one subject would be boring.
Well try this...........It is easy to start your own collection how ever old you are.
Here is an Idea. Choose a place, town or a city that is close to your heart. For me that would be Liverpool and just collect items you like that have a reference or a connection to that place.
This photograph above is of some items I have put together over a short period of time to give you some help in starting a collection.

A late blue and white bowl by Caughley of Liverpool. C ****

and no collection of items from Liverpool would be complete with out something from the time of the "Liverpool Sound and the 60s. Royal Doulton character mugs of Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney Made in C ****
I forgot to include in the photograph the First FA Cup which was stolen a few years after Everton FC in the early part of 1900's. won it.
QUIZ insert the 7 correct dates on the space C ****
Also one of the items has no connection with Liverpool. Which one is it.
