Thomas Morris traded from1892 - 1941 at Regent Works, Staffordshire
    making china

but the style of your item would indicate after 1928 even though the back stamp if from an older period.
If the set was new, Insurance value...........
the Bread and butter plate £29,
    milk jug £29
    open sugar £19,
    tea cups £15,
    saucers £8
    side plates £12
    tea pot £49.

to sell Second hand deduct 70% remember vat at 20%

    all the best.

thank you kindly for the information. The set looks unused but has been passed down through a couple of generations, so I can't say for certain.

Is eBay the best bet to look to sell?

PS - apologies for the upside down photos!! Didn't notice that I had done that.

    Regards

Funnily enough there's currently a set listed on ebay amongst the adverts at the bottom of the thread! The 'Buy it now' price is £160.00 (p&p £9.99)

    "Rare & vintage Thomas Morris tea service set in good condition, with only minor imperfections. Backstamp on underside, identifies the Brussells pattern, with gold rim. Set consists of;
    x 12 cups
    x12 saucers
    x12 side plates
    x2 bread and butter plates
    x1 milk jug
    x1 open sugar bowl
Thomas Morris traded from 1892 to 1941 at Regent Works, Staffordshire.
Research indicates that this backstamp is after c. 1928."

Maybe this link will work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...d=423133358323
