I've just bought this wooden bucket with a basin that sits on the top. It needs a bit of work, but I'll probably use them as planters.
Do you know what they would have been used for originally?

Hi, the bucket looks like it is not British and it looks from the photograph reasonably new and not antique. Nice a and useful. Make as you say a good planter. worth £30

Thanks John. Spot on with the valuation, £30 is what I paid. It's definitely got some age to it though.
